VAN EWING, VAN EWING CONSTRUCTION - Van Ewing moved to Gillette in 1982. In 1998 he started his own construction company, Van Ewing Construction, Inc. What started as a home office with three employees has grown into Gillette’s leading commercial construction company employing over 50 people. Van oversees all aspects of the job from pre-construction services and estimating through invoicing and project close out. A couple of notable Van Ewing Construction, Inc. projects are the Campbell County Fire Station and the Courthouse addition.
Van has been a member of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce since 1998. He is a member of the Wyoming Associated Builders and served as director and president. He served six years on the Board of Examiners, five years as Chairman; eight years on the Campbell County Board of Appeals, and is currently on the City of Gillette Public Works and Utilities Advisory committee.
Throughout his eleven years in business, Van supports and sponsors local organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, Little League, Crime Stoppers, Mayor’s Art Council, Legion Baseball, YES house, Council of Community Services, Pat Weede Wrestling, Babe Ruth Baseball, the United Way, and many more.
Van was recently named Wyoming Small Business Person of the Year 2009.
Van and his wife Jody have four grown children.
